This handmade, professionally designed all British module is based upon similar RCSwitching Modules we have available. The module is a solid-state (all electronic) Remote Control Switch which is powered and switched on and off from a switchable channel on your RC receiver.

The kit arrives with four (4) 5mm Hi-intensity 18,000 Mcd Landing Lights, and two (2) 3mm High Intensity 9,000Mcd Navigation Lights, Red and Green.

The onboard LED output indicates the switch status (On or Off) combined with our latest ver. 3.1 signal integrity firmware which gives an instant indication of the RC signal strength, presence and quality. The same LED gives a 3 flash output on power up to indicate all is well and ready to do some serious work!

All LED’s are connected to 500mm (19.7” ) long Kynar silver plated oxygen free, highconductivity single core microfine fly leads 0.387mm in diameter, which will need to be soldered to the module after installation.

Good soldering skills are essential to connect the fly leads to the Switch Module when it is installed into your model however, if soldering is not one of your better skills, we can supply the wiring pre-connected and ready to install at no additional cost, or consider using the Plug and Pin version.

Each Light (LED) cabled pair is colour coordinated to ease installation. Red Navigation Light is Red/Black, Green Navigation Light is Green/Black and the Landing Lights are White/Black. The Blacks are common connected to the same terminal on the module.

The switching module plugs directly into a switched channel on your receiver and with all the LED’s installed and turned on, the current draw is approximately 180mA You can also use a spare proportional channel (Joystick) which will switch on the Lights when the stick reaches 40% or more travel.

A feature incorporated into the module is a 'Switched Options Port.' This Port allows you to plug in and switch a load up to 600mA, such as cabin or similar lighting, sound boards or small motorised applications.

You can also plug in any RC Servo or Switchable RC Product such as our Beacon & Strobe Lighting Kit. Finally, an option when pre-ordered is Ports and 6 can be made non-switchable i.e. ON when your Receiver is switched ON, whilst the remaining four ports are switched. This is particularly useful if you wire ports 4 and 5 to the Red and Green Navigation Lights and the remaining four to the Landing Lights.

Realistically speaking, the Port and Starboard Navigation Lights are on whenever the Aircraft is in motion, and the Landing Lights are only on when landing or on take-off.
